Turk Telekom gambled away a big lead but still came out on top 91-77 against Lietkabelis on the road in Basketball Champions League. Turk Telekom stayed undefeated (3-0) while Liektabelis lost all three games (0-3) in Group A.
R.J. Hunter scored game-high 25 points on 7-8 shooting from deep followed by Muhammed Baygul with 21 and Moustapha Fall with 15 points.
For Lietkabelis, Zeljko Sakic scored 18 in addition to Tomas Dimsa’s 17 and Kendrick Brown’s 13 points.
Turk Telekom went ahead 25-15 in the first quarter and was up 49-30 at halftime. After the break, Lietkabelis made a big comeback cutting the gap to 11 points (69-58) in the third quarter and tying the game at 75 with four minutes left.
However, Kyle Wiltjer, Baygul and Hunter banked ten straight points for the guests who got away with the win.
