Besiktas Sompo Sigorta lost six straight games in all competitions but managed to recover with a convincing 74-49 home win against Falco Szombathely in Basketball Champions League. Both squads now hold a 2-3 record in Group D.
Shaquielle McKissic banked 20 points for the winning side while Burak Yildizli added 14 and James McAdoo 12 points – without missing a shot. McAdoo and Yildizli also grabbed 12 and nine rebounds respectively.
For Falco, Juvonte Reddic nailed 21 points on 10-11 shooting and was the only double-digit scorer in the Hungarian squad. DeVaughn Washington scored eight and Zoltan Perl six points.
Besiktas had a slight 14-12 lead after ten minutes and 33-27 at halftime. They kept the distance in the third quarter as well (50-41) and they dominated the late game with finishing on a 20-2 run to seal the deal.
