Kyle Wiltjer stole the spotlight and led Turk Telekom to a 72-66 home win against Filou Oostende in Basketball Champions League. The Turkish team improved to 4-1 compared to Oostende’s 2-3 record in Group A.
Wiltjer banked 33 points on 11-17 shooting including 5-8 from deep while also adding ten rebounds and one block.
Nick Johnson helped with 21 points and eight boards.
Loic Schwartz scored 15 followed by Braian Angola’s 14 and Shevon Thompson’s 12 points.
The guest had a slight upper hand in the first quarter (15-13) and improved the lead to 34-26 at halftime. However, Turk Telekom bounced back taking over the lead in the third (52-51) and leading by as much as nine points (72-63) in the fourth quarter to get away with the win.
