Great Britain national team member Luke Nelson moved from Herbalife Gran Canaria to BAXI Manresa, the Basketball Champions League participating team announced on Friday. Manresa signed the 24-year-old guard for the remainder of the 2019-20 season.
The UC Irvine alum went undrafted in 2017 and since was with Gran Canaria except for his 2017-18 loan assignment with Real Betis. He averaged 8.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals through 34 ACB games with the Seville side.
Nelson has not yet appeared in a single game this season, but will begin training with his new Spanish side immediately hoping to earn playing time.
Manresa is currently 3-2 in BCL’s Group A, also sits on a 2-6 ACB W-L record.
