Adam Smith poured 27 points last week leading PAOK to its first Basketball Champions League “W” for the 2019-20 season, followed up with 31 more points on Wednesday for the 93-78 victory against Casademont Zaragoza at the PAOK Sports Arena.
The 27-year-old American guard made six threes, 11/16 from the field and was at his best to stop the late comeback attempt launched by the visitors in the Regular Season Round 6 game. JeQuan Lewis contributed with 19 points and seven dimes.
The team coached by Kostas Charalampidis upped its Group D W-L record to 2-4, while Porfirio Fisac’s side fell to 3-3. Nicolas Brussino notched a team-high 16 points at Thessaloniki, D.J. Seeley ended up with 15 and Robin Benzing with 13.
