Kelvin Martin suffered a right thigh injury and will be sidelined for at least 40 days, Happy Casa Brindisi announced.
The serious blow to the Italian team’s Basketball Champions League playoffs hopes came from Regular Season Gameday 7 and the double-overtime loss to Casademont Zaragoza.
Martin was averaging 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per BCL contest this season, had 9.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 steals per LBA Serie A appearance as well.
Brindisi notched three wins in the first half of Champions League’s group stage and sits one victory outside Group D’s playoffs zone. A 7-3 W-L tally sums up its Italian league performance so far.
