Malachi Richardson will not further his 2019-20 campaign with UNET Holon, the Israeli club announced on Saturday. President Eitan Lanciano went on to note that Holon will move forward with players still affordable to the team.
The Syracuse alumni was going through his first overseas campaign. He debuted in European club competitions via Basketball Champions League averaging 11.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per appearance, not enough to prevent his former side from falling to 3-5 with three straight defeats.
As for Israel’s Super League, Richardson notched 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest with Holon sitting on a 4-4 W-L tally.
His stint was cut short, but is expected to sign with Vanoli Cremona for the remainder of the season, according to Sportando.
