Sesi Franca wins the FIBA Intercontinental Cup in spectacular fashion in Singapur against Bon 70-69. Lucas Dias was the hero as he made a game-winning shot.

Sesi Franca qualified for the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2023 Singapore by winning the Basketball Champions League Americas last spring, and then carried on their winning ways in Asia, too. They defeated Al Ahly 90-70 in their first game in the Singapore Indoor Stadium, then outlasted NBA G League Ignite 98-89 to finish 2-0 and win Group A. And now they won a close game against the German team that won the Basketball Champions League in Europe last May.

In a hard-fought game, Bonn made a push in the fourth quarter, the game was leaning ther way with a lead going into the final seconds, but Sesi Franca managed to get the ball in Lucas Dias’s hands and made an incredible shot for the win.

Marcio Santos led the way with 15 points, while Dias had 14 points, David Jackson added 12.

For Bonn Glynn Watson had 15 points.
