As with every country’s national basketball federation, Greece also sent a letter to FIBA stating that in no way supports ECA’S “illegal practices”.
All national federations stand by the side of FIBA, but wont take any measures yet. Still, since it is clearly stated that the Federation will not allow any club to participate in tournaments organized by ECA, AEK BC, that has agreed to play in Eurocup, is in danger of being disqualified from the Greek Basket League.
AEK has already requested the help of Stavros Kontonis, Greek minister of Sports, on the matter, however he has no intention to interfere.
