The vice president of the Serbian basketball Federation made some extremely interesting statements, more or less suggesting that FIBA is ready to build some bridges with Euroleague and that the “conflict” between the two will soon come to an end.
“The situation is extremely complex and requires deep analysis” said Dejan Bodiroga to Novosti.rs. “On Saturday there is a scheduled meeting of the board of FIBA Europe. Frankly, we have a solution for the whole issue or, to put it better, a concrete offer to Euroleague. But I can not say anything until the meeting is held”.
He then added that: “From my point of view, basketball should be above politics. Players should not suffer because of disagreements. All should be calm and wait to find a solution”
