Nikita Mikhailovskii made history in the game of Russia against host Greece in the FIBA U19 World Cup. The Russian guard by the end of the third period registered a triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. He finished the game with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists as Russia got the win.
He became the second player to achieve that feat in a FIBA U19 World Cup after Dario Saric who recorded his triple-double in Croatia’s opening contest of the 2013 tournament, collecting 32 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists against Korea.
Nikita Mikhailovskii has already won the VTB United League Young player of the year award this season and he was part of the All-Tournament team in the FIBA Europe U18 championship last summer.
