With the world champions of basketball being crowned today in a historic game, Ganten, official water of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019, and FIBA have expanded their global partnership until 2023, as FIBA.basketball informed.
With this announcement, Asia’s leading mineral water supplier will have principal commercial rights and exclusivity in the water category across all FIBA competitions during the next four-year cycle, leading up to the next World Cup in 2023. This partnership also includes the Men’s and Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, FIBA Continental Cups for both Men and Women, FIBA Youth World Cups and also the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in 2022.
FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis said, “We are pleased to have Ganten as a Global Partner and have them on board for a further four years. Their involvement in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 was very positive, with China-wide integrated marketing and media campaigns occurring throughout the year. They also provided Ganten water across all eight World Cup venues and cities over the past 16 days. I look forward to expanding our partnership with them within our other key events over the next four years.”
Ganten, part of the Shenzhen Ganten Food & Beverage co. Ltd, is a selective sponsor of major international sports brands. Its partnership with FIBA, commencing in 2018, adds to a portfolio which currently includes the Italian football giants Juventus FC and one of the Grand Slam tennis tournaments, the Australian Open.
During the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019, Ganten had exclusivity and supplied more than 230, 000 liters of water during the tournament. Ganten also provided “Water Angels” for each team bench at every 92 games of the World Cup, as well as having strong brand exposure on the court and off. With this partnership expansion, Ganten will supply water bottles now to all FIBA competitions.
