Both Andreas Zagklis and Jordi Bertomeu are in Athens and will be present for the “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament. The occasion of the tournament in Greece will mark the first time they ever meet, but there is no scheduled appointment for any possible negotiations on the behalf of FIBA and Euroleague Basketball.
The FIBA secretary general mentioned during the 2019 FIBA World Cup that he is open to talks with EuroLeague. On his part, the CEO of Euroleague Basketball recently admitted that he believes the two sides must get back on the table to discuss the future of European basketball.
