Pallacanetro Reggiana announced that the team has added Petteri Koponen for the rest of the season.
Koponen played 54 games for Bayern last season, averaging 7.6 points on 50% from deep, while he didn’t get a chance to step on the court this campaign.
“First of all, I am happy to be able to return to play after a few months in which I was stopped and in a situation in which, in my career, I had never found myself,” Koponen said.
“Now my goal is to get in shape as soon as possible and help the team. I am very happy to be here at Pallacanestro Reggiana, I believe there are the conditions to have an excellent second half of the season. Certainly, the opportunity to return to Italy, a country to which I associate so many good memories from my past, was a further motivation in my choice. My hope is that in the coming months the emergency linked to Covid will be mitigated more and more so that we can return to enjoy the beauty of this country in everyday life.”
