Following a brief spell with Aris Midea on loan from Panathinaikos Aktor, combo forward Lefteris Mantzoukas is heading to Marousi, according to Eurohoops sources.

The loan to the team based in Thessaloniki was terminated upon a heated exchange with head coach Giannis Kastritis and an early exit from the game against Olympiacos in Round 2 of the Stoiximan GBL Regular Season in the Peace and Friendship Stadium, SEF, on Sunday.

Over seven appearances between the BKT EuroCup and domestic competitions in Greece, Mantzoukas averaged 6.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 1.0 assists, and 0.6 blocks per contest. The next step will be with Marousi in the FIBA Europe Cup, besides staying in the top-flight division of Greece.

Back in 2021, coming out of brilliant displays in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament and further developing his talents via a minor role in two 7DAYS EuroCup campaigns, he moved from Promitheas to Panathinaikos. He was crowned Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion last season and won two Greek League championships before being loaned to Aris. A regular with the junior national teams of Greece, he was promoted to the senior squad, capped in the Qualifiers of the 2023 FIBA World Cup and the 2025 EuroBasket.

Besides the 21-year-old Mantzoukas, Marousi is prepping yet another roster boost via 30-year-old combo guard Josh Adams. The former EuroLeague player with Anadolu Efes started the 2024-25 campaign as a member of Promitheas but will shift from the Basketball Champions League to the Europe Cup.
