After a cup of tea with the Milwaukee Bucks through the 2024 NBA Preseason, Anzejs Pasecniks moved his talents to Tofas.
Adding to a Eurohoops report on Monday, his addition was announced by the Bursa outfit on Tuesday.
Pasecniks, 27, joined the Bucks during the offseason and inked a two-way contract but was waived before the start of the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season. However, he played in 28 NBA games with the Washington Wizards between the 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns. Back in 2017, midway through his breakthrough with Herbalife Gran Canaria, the Riga native was selected with the 25th overall pick of the NBA draft by the Orlando Magic.
Also carrying the experience of 22 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 67 in the 7DAYS EuroCup, his next stop is in the 2024-25 installment of the FIBA Europe Cup.
The team coached by Turkish tactician Orhun Ene has combined a 4-0 run in Group A of the Europe Cup Regular Season and nearing a berth in the next round of the second-tier club continental competition of FIBA Europe with a 5-0 start in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi.
Last season, the experienced big averaged 13.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in Spain’s Liga Endesa with Zunder Palencia. Other former teams in Europe are Metropolitans 92, Coosur Real Betis, Gran Canaria, and VEF Riga.
Representing Latvia at the senior international level includes the history-making performance in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
