The Basketball Champions League quarterfinals opening legs were played on Wednesday, the same day the FIBA Europe Cup’s quarterfinals concluded. Four teams advanced to the semifinals, two of them from Italy, one from Germany and the other from Israel.
UNET Holon booked its ticket on Tuesday by eliminating Alba Fehervar. Following up was s.Oliver Wurzburg that took out the Bakken Bears. Italian sides Dinamo Sassari and Pallacanestro Varese also qualified over Pinar Karsiyaka and Filou Oostende, respectively.
FIBA Europe Cup Semifinals:
Dinamo Sassari (Italy) – UNET Holon (Israel)
s.Oliver Wurzburg (Germany) – Pallacanestro Varese (Italy)
The semifinals home-and-away series will be played on April 10th and 17th. The finals will take place on April 24th and May 1st.
