A win for the NBA G League United team over the BCL Americas champion

The 2024 FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Singapore is officially underway, with NBA G League United winning the opening clash.

The G League team defeated Basketball Champions League Americas champion Quimsa 78-65, taking the lead in Group B, where the Tasmania JackJumpers are the remaining participants.

Deonte Burton led the way for the winning side with 17 points, while Juan Toscano had a solid all-around game with 13 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.

Brodric Thomas followed with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Charlie Brown scored 11 points, the same as Ron Baker, who completed a double-double with 10 rebounds.

On the other side, Nicolás Romano stood out for the Argentinian team Quimsa with 12 points, Agustín Pérez followed with 11, while Juan Brussino added 10 points.
