The 2024 Basketball Champions League winners, Unicaja Malaga, had a convincing start at the 2024 FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Singapore.

The Spanish side dominated the BAL winners from Angola, Petro de Luanda, with Dylan Osetkowski delivering a strong all-around performance.

After the game, the U.S. forward shared his thoughts on the winning start, already looking ahead to the upcoming games, with the next one being against the BCL Asia champions, Al Riyadi.

We played like a team, everybody contributed, but we still feel there were a lot of things we could have done better. This was a good first game, but we have two more to go,” Osetkowski said.

The tournament in Singapore also includes NBA G League United, Tasmania JackJumpers, and Quimsa, all in Group B.

This tournament is a tournament of champions. There are quality teams on both sides of the groups. We’ll use this to prepare for the season,” said one of Unicaja Malaga’s key players before finishing the postgame interview in style. “Hi mom, hi dad.”
