Juan Toscano Anderson turned a lot of heads with his statement about the G League being the second best league in the world, however he will have the chance to prove his point.
The G League United beat the NBL champions Tasmania JackJumpers and will face Unicaja Malaga in the Intercontinental Cup final.
The final score was 76-74 with Brodric Thomas deciding the outcome with two made free throws. Charlie Brown (photo) with 23 points was the top scorer of the winners, who led for most of the game.
However, in the closing minutes, the JackJumpers took the lead after two big threes by Jordon Crawford (72-68) who finished the game with 24 points.
Milton Doyle added 23 points, but he was unlucky in the most crucial play of the game. With the score tied at 72 and 14 seconds left, Doyle slipped on the floor and lost possession of the ball giving to the G League United the chance to win the game.
