Eurohoops continues its journey alongside AEK with the fourth part of the “Road to Rio” feature. The Basketball Champions League title holders travelled to Rio de Janeiro and will represent Europe in the 2019 FIBA Intercontinental Cup, but the players first explained how significant the tournament’s Final Four is for them.
“We might not have this opportunity again and I don’t’ know if this will work in our favor or not. We have to be focused on our target and the reason we are going there. We are going there for two games, to give everything on the court and win the Intercontinental Cup” Giannoulis Larentzakis mentioned in Eurohoops’ Road to Rio part 4.
“We want to take every cup we can” Howard Sant-Roos added and Dusan Sakota pointed out: “Very few players in their life will be able have this experience”. Malcolm Griffin said: “We are going to take it one match at a time. We won’t worry about the next week or the week after or what’s ahead”.
