The ankle injury of Vasilje Micic may not keep him out of action for the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers game of Serbia in Istanbul against Turkey.
Per Mozzartsport Micic will travel with the rest of the team for the game and that means he is expected to play.
There’s no official word yet on the nature of his injury, sustained in the previous qualifiers game against Greece, but the fact that he is not staying at Belgrade to continue rehabilitation for the upcoming EuroBasket means he is ready to go.
On the contrary, Nemanja Bjelica and Nemanja Nedovic stayed in Belgrade, where they continue to train according to their individual program.
Plus it has to be noted that the upcoming game against Turkey is very crucial for the qualifying chances of both teams for the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Turkey and Serbia are currently tied in the fourth spot of their group with two wins each.
