EuroLeague star Scottie Wilbekin from Fenerbahce Beko leads Turkey’s roster in the next two World Cup qualifying games.
In total five players from the Turkihs EuroLeague clubs, Efes and Fenerbahce, are in included in the preliminary roster: Bugrahan Tuncer, Melih Mahmutoglu, Metecan Birsen, Sehmus Hazer, and Wilbekin.
Coach Ergin Ataman will prepare the team for the game with Belgium in Istanbul, and then the team travels to Belgrade for a clash with Serbia.
Turkey is in a tough spot in the qualifiers with only two victories so far.
