Interviewed in the BIG Postgame Podcast, the German national team head coach Gordon Herbert shared his opinion on the several FIBA windows that are inserted during the season.
“It would be better to cancel the November window and have one real FIBA break in February. All the domestic leagues and the EuroLeague should stop for about two weeks, in order to have three or four national team games”, he proposed.
Germany, which is currently first in Group J with a 7-1 record, will face Finland (11/11 at 19:00 CET) and Slovenia (14/11 at 18:00 CET) but only needs one win to qualify for the 2023 World Cup.
Gordon Herbert decided to not call any EuroLeague players for this FIBA window.
