Bogdan Bogdanovic led the Atlanta Hawks to an important win over Chicago Bulls on the road, scoring game-high 26 points. After the match, the Serbian player discussed possibly joining his national team over the summer.
Serbia will participate in the upcoming FIBA World Cup, and it seems Bogdan will be back to his national team duty.
“I talked with Coach Pesic; all it takes is to stay healthy. My appearance is never questionable. We talked about everything, I’m here,” Bogdanovic said to RTS.
Against Chicago, he took responsibility in the absence of Trae Young and Deandre Hunter.
“What matters is that we won and that, without some players, others took the stage, and we used the opportunity to play the right way. Pressure is always good; if the crew is right, it can use that to stay united“.
The Serbian guard is averaging 13,9 points with 40,2 percent from beyond the arc and recently agreed on a contract extension with the Hawks through the 2026/27 season.
“I can’t say that I’m fully satisfied, but it pleases me that I don’t have the problems I had last year, playing under painkillers so I could be at a certain level. I’m glad I managed to push through it all,” Bogdanovic concluded.
