Getting closer to the 2023 FIBA World Cup, additional details emerge fueling excitement ahead of the tournament to be held in Asia.
The exact timing of all games is now available with the complete schedule shared by FIBA.
The Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia will host the games from 25 August to 10 September. Plenty of NBA stars including Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic alongside the Team USA selections and more, are expected to present bids for international success before focusing on the 2023-24 Regular Season.
The 32 participating national teams were recently drawn into eight groups of four teams each. The first round stretches from the start date to 30 August and attached following action will last up to 3 September. The final phase, the knockout stage taking over will tip off on 5 September and conclude with the gold medal game on 10 September.

Group F: Slovenia, Cape Verde, Georgia, Venezuela
Group G: Iran, Spain, Cote D’Ivoire, Brazil
Group H: Canada, Latvia, Lebanon, France
Qatar winning hosting rights to the 2027 World Cup will keep FIBA’s flagship event in Asia following the approaching 2023 World Cup and the 2019 tournament in China. The 2006 World Cup in Japan marked the first outside Europe and the Americas.
