Once again according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, in fact, Brooklyn Nets’ shooter Cam Johnson will join the list, which includes as of now the lights of Austin Reaves (Los Angeles Lakers), Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Brunson, Bobby Portis (Milwaukee Bucks), Mikal Bridges (Brooklyn Nets), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Jaren Jackson Jr. (Memphis Grizzlies), Brandon Ingram (New Orleans Pelicans), and Walker Kessler (Utah Jazz) himself.
As reported by The Athletic, Miami Heat’s center Bam Adebayo and Toronto Raptors’ guard Fred Van Vleet are also expected to join Team USA in Asia.
The 27-year-old, who came out of North Carolina University in 2019 to be drafted with the 11th pick in the NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, played four seasons with the Phoenix Suns until 2023 when he joined the Brooklyn Nets as part of the Kevin Durant deal. In 25 games played with the new franchise, he had 16.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
