Aleksej Pokusevski wanted to make his debut for Serbia this summer in the upcoming FIBA World Cup, but unfortunately, the desire will not be fulfilled.

Namely, as Sportski Zurnal reports, the Oklahoma City forward did not receive the doctor’s permission to train with the ball until August, which means that he is prevented from fighting for a place among the 12 players who will be part of Serbia’s roster at the upcoming FIBA World Cup.

The promising Thunder player suffered a broken hand at the beginning of May, due to which he had to be absent from the court for the third time in the last year.

Sources from Athens, Greece, where Pokusevski was undergoing specialist examinations these days, told the Serbian newspaper that he did not receive permission to train with the ball until the end of August.

Longtime key members of the team Vladimir Lucic and Nikola Kalinic are also absent due to injury this summer, while the two main starts, Vasilije Micic and Nikola Jokic, will also not play.
