As the FIBA World Cup is getting closer, the preparation games are well on the way. Last night we witnessed a blowout win for France against Tunisia, and tonight Lithuania won against Georgia but in a much closer contest 104-102 as Tomas Dimsa got the crucial bucket to avoid overtime.
Lithuania dominated for three quarters, getting a big double-digit lead, but almost fumbled the game in the last 10 minutes allowing Georgia to tie the game in the last minute (102-102). In a thriller finish, Lithuania managed to pull off a win in Zalgirio Arena in front of the home crowd.
Toko Shengelia almost pulled off an incredible comeback for Georgia as he scored 30 points, adding four rebounds and seven assists.
For Lithuania, Jonas Valanciunas had 21 points and eight rebounds while Rokas Jokubaitis added 19 points and six assists.
