Greece managed to beat once again Slovenia 88-77 in the second of two friendly games between the two sides, but everybody got worried about Luka Doncic and Vlatko Cancar.
The latter player of the Denver Nuggets landed roughly on his knee following a dunk but there’s hope about his condition, while the Dallas Mavericks phenomenon had to leave the court at the end of the second quarter after bumping knees with Emmanouil Chatzidakis.
Doncic didn’t play in the second half, and no official update was given after the game about his condition, however, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, there are no concerns regarding the physical status of the Dallas Mavericks and Slovenian national team leader, who didn’t play in the second half of the friendly game against Greece.
Before the apparent injury, the former Real Madrid player put up 18 points with 3/4 from two, 3/6 from beyond the arc, and 3/4 at the charity stripe in only 13:37 minutes of playing time.

Prior to the start of the game held in Athens, the legendary Hall of Famer Nikos Galis, honored with a touching ceremony in which his Greek national team jersey got raised up the OAKA’s rafters, hugged Luka Doncic himself.
After opening the schedule of friendly games with two losses, Slovenia, guided by senior national team head coach Aleksander Sekulic, will be back in action versus Croatia in Ljubljana Tuesday. Back on the road, the next tuneup affairs will be against Spain and the USA in Malaga on 11 and 12 August.
From there to Tokyo and taking on Japan in Ariake Arena on 19 August, before finally focusing on Group F action in the World Cup with the first round featuring Venezuela, Georgia, and Cape Verde in Okinawa City between 26 and 30 August.
