After dropping an early double-digit advantage, Georgia regained control in the fourth quarter and beat Montenegro, 84-79, in the Final of the City Hall Cup Sunday.
Goga Bitadze of the Orlando Magic was the driving force for the hosts of the four-team friendly tournament with 21 points behind 9/9 field goals and six rebounds in just under 20 minutes in Tbilisi. The 24-year-old center was coming off a 13-point effort in the Semifinal win against Jordan.
UCAM Murcia’s Thad McFadden put in 19 points and seven assists for the team coached by Ilias Zouros. Following, team captain Tornike Shengelia of Virtus Segafredo Bologna went for 14 points, five assists, and five rebounds. San Antonio Spurs forward Sandro Mamukelashvili and Duda Sanadze added ten more points each.

Settling for second place in the tournament, Nikola Ivanovic, recently moving to Moscow and Runa, tallied 18 points, a team-high, alongside five assists and four rebounds. Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, four steals, and one assist in 25 minutes.
Iran wins third-place game
Both sides coming off respective losses in the City Hall Cup, Iran rallied past Jordan, 81-73. Young guard Mohammad Amini carried the winning side with 29 points, five rebounds, and four steals to his name. On the opposite end, former NBA player Rondae Hollis-Jefferson piled up a team-high 21 points.
All four countries participating in the two-day tournament are set to compete in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
