Cape Verde tried to capitalize on a slow shooting day from Luka Doncic, but the Slovenian superstar did all the other things to help his team get a third win in the FIBA World Cup, 92-77.
Slovenia completed the first phase with a 3-0 record and will play against Germany and Australia for a spot in the quarterfinals.
Luka Doncic finished the game with 19 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. He missed eight of nine attempts from three, but his teammates got the job done in the end.

Klemen Prepelic scored 18 points, while Aleksej Nikolic and Bine Prepelic added 11.
For Cape Verde, Betinho Gomes scored 17 points. Edy Tavares had nine points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.
Slovenia got the lead from start to finish but led just by seven at halftime (45-38).
The third period started with a 7-0 run by Cape Verde which tied the score at 45, but the answer was the only made three of Doncic in the game and Slovenia built a lead again, having a 69-55 advantage at the start of the last quarter.
