Ignas Brazdeikis likes USA and Canada advancing to the final

MANILA, Philippines – Producing 15 points behind 6/8 field goals, Ignas Brazdeikis was among the main contributors to Lithuania defeating Slovenia Thursday. Battling for the fifth spot on the final rankings of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, his side will take on fellow Baltic country Latvia on Saturday.

“We will definitely try to win this next game,” stressed the Zalgiris swingman.

Meanwhile, Serbia faces off with Canada and the United States deals with the threat of Germany in the Mall of Asia Arena tomorrow, Friday.

“It really depends on what guys are hot,” Brazdeikis previewed the Semifinal matchup between the USA and Germany, “I probably got to give the edge to the US though. After our loss, they kind of regrouped. I think they are the favorite.”

“I will give it to Canada. They have more depth,” added the Lithuanian-Canadian player projecting a collision between the two countries of North America for the gold medals.
