After leading the Slovenian national team in the fourth place of Eurobasket 2009, Jure Zdovc is back on the bench of the national team of his country. The 47years old coach of Turkish club Gaziantep was presented officially, having signed a 2+1 contract as Slovenia will participate in the upcoming FIBA World Cup and is also targeting the upcoming Olympic Games of 2016. Zdovc will continue to be also the coach of Gaziantep.
Meanwhile, Montenegro announced the extension of coach Luka Pavicevic’s contract with the national team for two more years. Poland is still searching for a coach after the fall out of the talks with German Dirk Bauermann and Serbian Mihailo Uvalin, coach of domestic champion Zielona Gora, expressed his desire to get the job, while British basketball federation announced the extension of coach Joe Prunty’s contract and also the desire of NBA star Luol Deng to play of the team. All the above national teams will participate in the upcoming qualifying round for Eurobasket 2015.
