Marcus Eriksson scored 25 points (5/9 from the perimeter) and dished out five assists, as Sweden beat Bosnia 80 – 73 in the premiere of the 2018 World Cup pre-qualifiers.
Eriksson was also the one to bang the most decisive basket of the game, with a dagger from beyond the arc for the 77 – 73 with 34 seconds remaining. This shot cleared things regarding the winner following 15 ties and 14 lead changes.
For Bosnia, Dzanan Musa dropped 17 points (3/11 from the field) and grabbed five rebounds while Markus Loncar posted 16 points plus five rebounds.
Viktor Gadderfos and Nicholas Spires had 14 points each for the Swedes. The latter also blocked the ball no less than six (!) times.
