Despite Belarus’ loss to Portugal (79-78), the team advanced, paced behind a stunning double-double performance by Artsiom Parakhouski (16 points, 17 rebounds).
Meanwhile, the Netherlands smashed Albania in Group A with 113-37 and got the ticket together with Kosovo.
The qualifiers for the World Cup are: Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, The Netherlands, Austria, Estonia, Kosovo, Bulgaria and Belarus.
There will be a draw on Thursday, 24 Aug in Munich to determine where each team goes in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers.
Sweden, Estonia, Bulgaria and the Netherlands – as group winners – can go in these groups:
Group B: Turkey, Latvia, Ukraine.
Group D: Italy, Croatia, Romania.
Group F: Czech Republic, Iceland, Finland.
Group H: Israel, Great Britain, Greece.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, Kosovo and Austria – as second placed teams – can join:
Group A: Montenegro, Slovenia, Spain.
Group C: Poland, Lithuania, Hungary.
Group E: Belgium, France, Russia.
Group G: Germany, Serbia, Georgia.*
*(Kosovo cannot be in the same group as Serbia)
