Playing without injured Rudy Fernandez the first preparation game of Spain before the FIBA World Cup was a party under the paint. The hosts got the 82-70 win over Canada thanks to their front line with Pau Gasol leading the way with 20 points.
The duo of Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol added 15 points each, while Corey Joseph with 19 points was the top scorer of Canada. No perimeter player of Spain scored in double figures, however it was just the first game.
