In the first two Sunday prep games for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, Greece and Ukraine were the big winners. In Antibes, France, Ukraine destroyed Philippines 114-64 as seven players scored in double digits and Oleksandr Lypovyy being the best among equals with 16 points.
In Lithuania, Greece got a moral boost with a 79-71 win over Slovenia, despite still missing one key part of the team, Nick Calathes, who will be eligible for play after the end of his ban at the 20th of August. Against the duo of Dragic brothers, Kostas Papanikolaou scored 20 points, center Giannis Bourousis added 16 and Giannis Antetokounmpo provided once more the highlights (video).
In Belgrade, Puerto Rico beat Argentina (97-87) with J.J.Barea being the top scorer of the winners with 17 points.
