Spain faced Croatia a tight game, but only for 20 minutes, when the Balkans were leading by 2 points (40-38). In the second half of the hosts of the upcoming World Cup speeded up and with partial score 44-21 won easily the game (82-61).
The three big guys of the Spaniards made the difference (Pau Gasol 18 points, 7 rebounds, Serg Ibaka 13 points, 11 rebounds, Marc Gasol 11 points, 7 rebounds) alongside with Juan Carlos Navarro who scored 14 points.
In the other game of the tournament in Badalona, Ukraine beat easily Mexico 73-55 having once again Pooh Jeter in great night, as he scored 17 points. Gustavo Ayon on the other hand couldn’t do much despite his double double (13 points, 11 rebounds).
