France survived the test against Serbia and got the 74-73 win thanks to a made free throw by Joffrey Lauvergne. He was also the top scorer of the winners (19 p.), however the last play of the game counted more than anything else. Miroslav Raduljica made the controversial last foul, but he also had 21 points and 7 rebounds. Antoine Diot (15 p.) and Edwin Jackson (12 p.) gave to France the extra push, Boris Diaw was the play maker in crucial moments and on the other hand Bogdan Bogdanovic lost the ball with the score being tied at 73 and 4 seconds left on the clock. However, as Serbian coach Alexander Djordjevic said in the press conference: “If there was a foul to Lauvergne, then there was also a foul to Bogdanovic”.

Brazil as expected got the easy win over Iran (79-50) in game decided in the second period, with the Americans having a 23-6 partial score and the Asians accepting their fate.

The day ended with an easy win for Spain against Egypt (91-54) in a game that all the big guys played (Orenga added in the rotation Reyes and Ibaka). Ibaka scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, while Pau Gasol scored 12 points. Spaniards and Brazil are tied at 2-0, Serbia and France at 1-1, while Egypt and Iran are at 0-2.
