Near the end of the first half of the World Cup Qualifiers game between Turkey and Latvia in Istanbul, Semih Erden was forced to exit the match with what appears to be a serious injury on his left knee.
The veteran Turkish center was in serious pain and had to go to the locker rooms with the help of his team’s staff. He has been transferred to the hospital for examinations.
UPDATE: The player is expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks of action due to an edema in his left kneecap.
