This result combined with the thrilling 67-64 win of Lithuania against Slovenia decided the standings of the group.
Slovenia scored just two points in the last quarter, a Goran Dragic’s lay up, and because of the Australian defeat, finished second in the group standings with Lithuania on top. Australia is third and that means avoiding Team USA in a potential quarterfinals match up. That’s why Goran Dragic before tonight’s game attacked the “Boomers” via twitter, accusing them of “fixing” the game against Angola.

As expected Mexico beat Korea (87-71) without even using its biggest star, Gustavo Ayon, and qualified to the next round over the losing side and Angola.
