The second day of the round of 16 in FIBA World Cup is over and Eurohoops presents the important numbers from the four knock out games. Those include as usual great offensive and defensive performances, surprises and disappointments, odds and ends of the stats sheets!

* Corey Webster attempted 21 field goals against Lithuania, the most in the round of 16.

* The double-double players. Jonas Valanciunas scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in 27 minutes. Great night for a super star.

* The brothers’ performance! Corey and Tai Webster had 32 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist, while Darjus and Ksystof Lavrinovic combined for 12 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist!

* Without doubt Emir Preldzic is the man of the night. Let’s see his stats! He had 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in 33 minutes.

* Great scoring efficiency by the Serbs! And a huge improvement after the group phase. They had 53% in threes (36,3% their average) and 85% in free throws (64,4% their average).

* First victory ever for Brazil against Argentina in a FIBA World Cup after five consecutive defeats and what a coincidence! The last appearance of Brazil in quarter finals was in 2002 against Argentina!

* Raulzinho Neto’s 90% percentage in field goals is the best in the Round of 16.

* Turkey and Brazil, two teams which got the Wild Card to play at FIBA World Cup, continue to quarter finals! The other two have seen their tournament end. After Finland in group phase, Greece is also out of the final phase.
