In addition to the best performances ever in World Cup finals, the most successful teams, players and coaches and the memorable records of this tournament!

* The USA is the third back to back champion after Brazil (1959, 1963) and Serbia (1998-2002).

* This is the second time a team scores over 100 points (129) in the final of the World Cup. The first was in 1994, when the USA scored 137 points against Russia.

* In addition to, this is the best performance of this tournament. Brazil, which scored 128 against Egypt, is in the second place.

* Mike Krzyzewski’s team made 15 3-pointers in the final. So they tied Argentina, Finland and France’s best performance in this World Cup!

* Mike Krzyzewski is the third coach who wins twice the World Cup after Togo Renan Soares “Kanela” (Brazil) and Alexander Gomelsky (Soviet Union).

* Kyrie Irving was perfect in 3pointers (6/6, 100%). Of course, this is the best performance in a final of the World Cup.

* Additionally, he made 6 threepointers and tied Jorge Garbajosa’s performance (6/11) in 2006 against Greece. However, Kevin Durant made seven  (7/13) in 2010 against Turkey.

* More records for Kyrie Irving! He scored 26 points, the fifth best performance in a final after Myshkin (29 p. in 1982), Durant (28 p. in 2010, 39 minutes), Oberto (28 p. in 2002, 40 minutes) and Bodiroga (27 p. 33 minutes), but the best according to the minutes he played (24 minutes)!

* Milos Teodosic’s 7 assists is the best performance in a final of the World Cup. Derrick Rose tied Pepe Sanchez’s 6 assists (in 2002 against Serbia). Milos is for 2nd time in a row a member of the all tournament team in a World Cup.

* The final’s 221 points is the best scoring performance in this tournament and the second best number ever in World Cup’s history!

* Madrid, a perfect city for USA! They just won the World Cup in Madrid for the second time, after 1986 being the first one!
