According to Spanish newspaper “Marca” Pau Gasol wants to play with the Spanish national team in the September FIBA World Cup qualifiers.
It remains to be seen if that can happen. For the upcoming June and July games, however, Juancho Hernangomez is the only NBA player who is included in the Spanish national team pre-selection, Santi Yusta is the only Real Madrid player and the duo of Victor Claver and Pierre Oriola are the two representatives of Barcelona. The fourth EuroLeague player who is called in the team is CSKA Moscow guard Sergio Rodriguez.
