In his recent interview with FIBA, Domantas Sabonis talks about being able to represent Lithuania and continue what his father, Arvydas Sabonis, did not so long ago.
“My father played and won a lot with Lithuania. And I also want to bring that to Lithuanian basketball,” Sabonis admits.
“For me, it’s always an honor to play for the national team. To fight for your country and play against the best players in Europe and around the world, it’s really interesting”, tells the top scorer of Lithuania during the most recent FIBA World Cup Qualifiers windows.
Lithuania finished the second round of the Qualifiers on a high note, with six straight wins and is one step closer to make to the big stage next summer.
