Dario Saric came close to the triple-double, propelling Croatia to an 83 – 75 win over Slovenia in the second preparation game between the two teams this week.
Slovenia had won the first match, Wednesday (5/9), but this time, Saric made sure that Croatia would get some payback. The Philadelphia 76ers forward notched 19 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists while stealing the ball twice in 32:31 minutes.
Cleveland Cavaliers center Ante Zizic provided a helping hand by scoring 15 points and grabbing seven rebounds in 18 minutes. Efes guard Krunoslav Simon added 12 points plus six rebounds and L.A. Lakers center Ivica Zubac 10 points and nine rebounds in 17:18.
Blaz Mesicek had 14 points, Blaz Mahkovic 11 and Jacob Cebasek 11 for Slovenia.
