With four players scoring in double figures, Turkey beat Montenegro 79 – 69 and improved its Group I record to 6-2 to retain the second spot that leads to the World Cup.
Cedi Osman scored a team-high 18 points and grabbed six rebounds. Ersan Ilyasova notched 17 points and eight rebounds in less than 20 minutes while Semih Erden had 16 points. Furkan Korkmaz contributed 15 points (4/6 threes) plus five rebounds.
For Montenegro, Bojan Dubljevic put up a fight with 22 points and nine rebounds. Petar Popovic added 10 points.
