France was victorious against Finland in Montpellier with 83-67 and remains on top of Group K with a 7-1 record. The Finnish are now pushed lower in the group ranking with a 4-4 record.
The loss to Bulgaria a few days ago was indeed a wake-up call as Nicola Batum predicted, and now the team can still hope for one of the tickets to the next phase.
Batum and Charles Kahudi led the winners with 14 points each, while Matthias Lessort followed with 13 points.
Petteri Koponen scored 11 points for Finland, along with three assists.
