Not only Scottie Wilbekin of Maccabi Tel Aviv but in total 11 EuroLeague players also from Fenerbahce, Anadolu Efes and Darussafaka are included in the Turkish national team pre-selection which was announced today.
It remains to be seen which players will be the final picks of coach Ufuk Sarica and how many of the EuroLeague players will be included.
The total pre-selection list for the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers is the following: Doğuş Balbay, Sertaç Şanlı, Buğrahan Tuncer, Metecan Birsen (Anadolu Efes), Tolga Geçim, Rıdvan Öncel (Banvit), Kenan Sipahi (Beşiktaş Sompo Japan), Kartal Özmızrak, Berk Demir, Oğuz Savaş (Darüşşafaka Tekfen), Ali Muhammed, Melih Mahmutoğlu, Sinan Güler (Fenerbahçe), Göksenin Köksal, Ege Arar (Galatasaray), Kadir Bayram (Gaziantep Basketbol), Semih Erden (İstanbul BBSK), Berk Uğurlu (Pınar Karşıyaka), Metin Türen (Türk Telekom), Muhsin Yaşar, Yiğit Arslan, Barış Ermiş, Berkan Durmaz (TOFAŞ), Scott Wilbekin (Maccabi Tel Aviv).
